Real Talk About

Every time I travel I have some interesting experiences. I decided to start a blog because I travel at least seven or eight times a year. Sometimes I travel for business,  but mostly for personal reasons and I try to go to Los Angeles once a year. One of my best friends lives out there and I love the West Coast even though I live on the East Coast.

This year when I traveled to Los Angeles last month February I had to take a connecting flight in North Carolina.  So this time I got to the airport in Connecticut at least 2 hours before my flight. When it was time to board the plane they made an announcement that they wouldn’t be able to board because one of their flight attendants was running late. Of course the first thing that went through my mind was that it was going to cause me to be late to catch my connection flight. Well you can guess what happened. By the time the flight attendant arrived and we boarded, we left over an hour late which caused me to miss my connection flight. And the next flight to Los Angeles was 5 hours later. Yes, I had to sit in the airport for 5 hours. And then when I finally arrived, of course I was exhausted with the time difference and traveling all day. But I did meet a lot of interesting people. And the airline gave me a food voucher so I can eat while I waited. Plus they reimbursed me for some of my costs like my checked bag and my upgraded seat.  Even though that experience was exhausting, I still feel like I was able to get the most out of the experience.
